NETTLETON ROAD WIDENING & UPGRADE

PROJECT OVERVIEW
With partial funding from each of the Black Spot Program and the MRRG program, Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale engaged WCP Civil through tender to reconstruct and widen their existing road.
This involved widening the road and reconstruction of full width existing surface. WCP Civil proposed to complete the works on a full closure and detour which worked well and ensured the utmost safety of workers and all stakeholders.
SCOPE OF WORK
- Prepare and implement throughout construction all required management plans including dust, traffic, quality, emergency and safety management.
- Clearing & Pruning of existing trees and vegetation
- Demolition of existing redundant drainage, pavements, kerbs
- Boxout and replace shoulders
- Top up existing road to improve drainage depth, reduce undulations and increase percentage of good quality materials in the pavement
- Drainage upgrade including reshaping table drains as well as new headwalls, pits, pipes and rock pitching
- Emulsion Primerseal & Two Coat Seal on Widenings
- Kerbing to intersections
- Traffic control – using WCP Civil in-house traffic crew
- MRWA spec asphalt by in-house WCP Civil crew
